Game 10 Kiwanis Stars Vs Brantford 99ers
Well we were on the score board within seconds right off the face off, thanks to William R and assist going to Matthew M. We maintained a one goal lead for the remainder of the first period but it was filled with lots of shots, great player coverage and some big saves.   Kiwanis finally tied the score with their first goal early in the second period.  Again the period was action packed, the boys played so hard and worked well together passing the puck around.

But holy goals in the third period.  Kiwanis took the lead with with two quick goals early in the period.  Within seconds of their second goal, Marcus with scored an unassisted goal, dropping their lead to one goal. There was a lot of back and forth, saves by both teams but our determination paid off with a second goal from Marcus assisted by Nathan M while we were on the power play.  Kiwanis took the lead again with a fourth goal with four minutes to play but it seemed as if they become frustrated by our boy's continued pressure and determination because they eight minutes of penalty in the third period alone.  Our boys took advantage of the time they were spending in the penalty box and with less then two minutes left to play Marcus (with the hat trick) scored assisted again by Nathan M and Ashton W.   We continued to put the pressure on and although there was a couple close chances, this game ended with a tie at four goals each.  I unfortunately won't be at tomorrow's rematch but best of luck boys.  Keep your heads up and sticks on the ice!!

Hard Hat award to Marcus S for his amazing Hat Trick
