BMHA Mini Mac Program Outline
  1. Mini Macs is a program for beginners wishing to learn skating skills prior to joining the Timbit Hockey Program the following season.
  2. Participants must be three or older to register and able to participate in a group setting without individual supervision.
  3. No parents are allowed on the ice.
  4. Participants will be divided into 2 or 3 groups by abilities to ensure proper skill development.
  5. Each group will be run by an adult Program Coordinator, assisted by adult volunteers chosen by the Program Coordinator as well as BMHA volunteers from senior level teams.
  6. The Mini Mac program will be comprised of three separate sessions per hockey season.  (Fall, Winter) with a separate registration and fee for each session.  Each session will run for 10 weeks and each weekly ice time will have an early group and a later group, each 40 minutes in length.  Participants must attend only their assigned ice time to keep the groups balanced.
  7. All participants must be dressed in full hockey equipment, including a regulation neck guard, and bring a hockey stick.
  8. Socks and hockey jerseys will be provided for each session.
  9. Picture day will be arranged for those choosing to have photos taken.
