Game 16 Brantford 99ers at the Lawfield Thunder
Submitted By Jennifer Esselment on Thu 03 03, 16
Another great game played boys.  The boys came out ripping and ready to kick some Lawfield butt.

We started the scoring off with a scrum in front of the net with a goal going to Didier L for continuing to dig hard and stand his ground.  Assist for Kagan who did a great job getting the puck to the offensive end.

The rest of the first period was filled with big saves by Sebastian and some great work for the defensive team,.  I saw some real hard work and fast skating to cover the man and taking away lots of shots to help out the goalie.  At the end of the first period we were the only ones on the scoreboard with a one goal lead.

Early in the second period, Marcus gave us a little breathing room with a great goal playing the angle, which from my view looked like he hit the 5 hole with assist going to Ethan H.   A few minutes later another nice pass from Will R and some digging in front of the net, we scored another one thanks to Matthew M.  Some more big saves by Cole D and some really great passes and positional hockey left us with a three nothing lead going into the third period.

Third period was another great opportunity for our boys to show off their hockey skills.  Cole made another big save and a lucky the post was there kept at Lawfield scoreless.  We had one more goal from another scrum in front of the net but was called off by the referee.  Great job for the defensive team on keeping the puck in the offensive end and all the boys dug hard especially along the boards.

Great game boys with a 3 nothing win.  Big shouts out to both Cole and Sebastian on their shut out, that wasn't an easy one you guys both played to so well.

Hard hat award going to Riley D who also did a great job an defense and top notch job on making sure to take the play away with some great positional coverage!
