Game 12 Kitchener at Brantford 99ers
Well this game didn't go in our favour by the final score but our boys still played hard and learned a lot. l was proud watching our boys play together, pass the puck around and continue to have a good time despite that fact that they weren't winning.
The boys came out ready to rock and all had smiling faces and lots of laughs during warm up.
Kitchener started the scoring off early into the first period and unfortunately they held that lead all game. Our boys didn't let them have an easy win. There was some great positional hockey, boys dug hard in the corners and along the boards. Both goalies did a great job of making some great saves and overall it was a great game to watch.
Second period bought more great hockey but unfortunately Kitchener managed to score three quick goals early in the period. Our boys continued to work hard but we couldn't manage to get one in the net.
Third period was scoreless but it was obvious both teams were still working hard and between both teams there was 8 minutes spent in the penalty box. Final score was 4 Kitchener 0 Brantford.
It was our first time against this team and I know I'm excited for a rematch so we can show these boys what we are all about.
I read a quote that goes well with this game "Trust me, my son never loses. He either wins or learns." Good job boys, we'll get them next time!
