Major Bantam, 2015-2016, A/AA (Brantford Minor Hockey Association)

Our team recently had a penalty free game which allowed us to enter the Hockey Development Centre of Ontario (HDOC) penalty free sweepstakes contest. In addition to a team entry, we could also enter an individual player. Unfortunately, our team was not chosen as a winner, however, I am please to say that Matt Sweeney was awarded a Penalty Free MVP. Matt received a winners package compliments of HDOC and their sponsors. Congratulations Matt!!

Congratulations! We are now officially the Brantford 99ers Bantam AA hockey team.  With our point today in Waterloo we have clinched a berth in the Constellation League. Now let's finish strong and make the drive for first place. Great job boys!

At our practice on Oct. 31, we will be running through the Hockey Canada Skills Testing Series.  More information on the program is available here.  It is a busy program so we need everyone focused and paying attention.  Also, we will need all the help we can get from parents to log scores, run stop watches, set up drills, etc.  BTW, please bring jerseys as well so that we can get individual pictures. See you there.

The Bantam 99ers team had a great weekend in Peterborough! Thanks to the Neziols for letting us invade their cottage on Friday for a day of team bonding, which included fishing, paddle boating, paddle boarding, swimming and motor boating, (well at least tried to go boating!!!) Finishing second in the group of round robin, the boys then advanced to the semi final game. They played their the best game of the season so far, but ended up falling 1-0 to a very evenly matched AA Burlington team. Great effort! Great weekend! Looking forward to a exciting year of hockey!
