The Wacky Wings Minor Bantam 99ers suffered a tough loss in the Finals at the International Silver Stick 2-1 in sudden victory overtime in Newmarket.  Both the 99ers and Grimsby Peach Kings play AA in regular season for their associations as A centers and it was an exciting hockey game.  Our boys played very well all weekend and special mention to both goaltenders who played amazing sharing, the six game workload equally.  The 99ers won games against Michigan Metro Jets, Kanata Blazers, Burlington Eagles Gold, & Owen Sound Jr. Attack to meet the Grimsby Peach Kings in the finals.

The Wacky Wings Minor Bantam 99ers Won their 3rd tournament of the year and the team defended their title as Gretzky International Champions.  Total team play has marked their success.  The past 2 seasons has resulted in 7 tournament Gold championships & 1 Silver Finalist in 8 events.  The team has won 80+ games in 2 yrs!  After earning the right to play AA in Alliance as an A center for the first time ever for the 2002 age group, momentum keeps going.  Up next is The Silver Stick International Finals in Newmarket January 14-17th...Let's Bring home the Gold Boys! Congrats to all Players, parents and coaches.  Our on ice product and success is determined by friendships, enjoyment, development and support off ice.  Great group!!!

The Minor Bantam Wacky Wings 99ers A/AA Continued took the Championship this weekend going undefeated in 6 games.  20 Goals for and only 3 against.  Evenly distributed scoring, great team defense and outstanding goaltending were keys to victory.  The closeness of this group and the way they react together is nothing short of incredible.  Thanks as always to our amazing parent group for great support!  The Coaches are very pleased with these young men who also earned the distinction for this 2002 age group(first time ever) to be seeded in AA Constellation Alliance division as an A rostered team.  Go 99ers!!!

The Brantford 99ers Wacky Wings Minor Bantam A/AA team took home TOP honors at the Oshawa Cup on October 18th as Champs.  The team went undefeated in 6 games and combined for stats of 24 GF & only 7 GA.  These boys not only performed on the ice but showed what being a true team means off the ice as well.  Weekend hockey results for players, parents and coaches were amazing as were the friendships that continue to grow.  Heartfelt sympathy and condolences for our Manager and one of our players on their family loss this weekend.  We rallied around your strength and the Coaches are very proud of all these great young men that make a team!
