Andrew Kitchen simply took over. The nifty centre scored 3 times, as he took over both the game and the team scoring lead as he scored the first and the last goals of the game and added on for good measure in the second period to lead the 99ers to extending their undefeated home streak with a 3-3 tie against Sarnia.
An unassisted goal with 10 seconds to go in the first, a second period marker to tie things at 2 with 3 mins to go in the second, and then completing the hat-trick with 6 mins to go in the 3rd, allowed the Mortgage Financial 99ers to salvage the tie and preserve the streak. Nathan Foster, Andrew Brown, Jack Lamain, and Connor Vorwald picked up the assists on the second two goals.
