captured the Boston Pizza Cup this weekend with a dominating performance from
start to finish. Competing in the top
tier of the 40-team tournament, the 99ers reached the championship game with a record
of 5 wins and 0 losses, scoring 44 goals for and giving up 0 goals
against. The 99ers backed this up with a
6-2 championship victory against a strong team from Mount Brydges.
This performance was on
the heels of an excellent tournament in Belle River in January where the team had
a record of 4-1 to finish as one of the top teams in the Tier 1 division of the
64-team tournament. Through their 2 full
ice tournaments, the team amassed an overall record of 10-1, scoring 70 goals
for, while only allowing 14 against. Great
