As the Regular Season is winding down our focus will shift to the playoffs. We have shown at various times this season we can compete with anyone and have the skills to get it done. With some nagging injuries, work commitments and suspensions we struggled on a regular basis to field a full line up..... but in saying that, the boys did their best with the limited line up. We set small goals and preached giving it for 3 periods at the same time making sure it was still fun for them.

Merry Christmas to all our families and team supporters! Thank you for the support and patience with our hockey club this season. The boys are fantastic, they continue to compete and do the extra work we ask of them. Our win column is nowhere near where we would like it
to be but we have fun regardless! The team has been playing much better of late. Beating the first place team for example was a huge boost and a nice reward for the boys. Also a big THANK YOU to the many AP players we use to help us in a bind. You guys are like a part of the team!

The boys played some of their finest hockey this weekend. They were playing short handed and stepped it up. Grabbing a win in the second game was a great boost considering how hard they have been working and striving to get one. They carried that momentum into the next one but fell short in a very exciting comeback. Playing in overnight tournaments is always fun for the kids. Even at this age! Good times and many memories! We set some small goals and the team responded well . We are very proud!

Our tournament play did not yield any victories but we played a couple solid games, a not so bad one and one we would like to play over! We finally were able to bury some goals , taking the pressure off! Some highlights were Bonds breakaway goal, Josh's stellar play against the Terriers, Zip's thunderous hits and the bounce back play from Thomas after an unfortunate gaffe.
I think things are looking up for the team! Keep on pluggin away boys!
