Kingston Tournament Recap!
The U9 Select 99ers traveled to Kingston this past weekend to compete in the Kingston Canadians Select Classic Tournament Series.
The U9 Select 99ers faced some very strong competition in their tournament this past weekend. All of the teams in the tournament competed with great effort and were well coached.
The 99ers were able to place 4th, only losing to the two top teams in the tournament (Russell and North Durham), Russell Warriors were the eventual championship winners. The 99ers went all the way to the semifinals before being knocked out.
Here is a recap of our weekend:
Game 1 - 99ers vs. Russell Warriors 4-1 Loss - Goal by Isaiah Zylstra. Game MVP - Grayson Foreman, Hardest Workers -Graham Haines and George Wills.
Game 2 - 99ers vs. Ajax Pickering Raiders 2-2 Tie - Goals by Harrison Hockin and Stryker Sandy. Game MVP - Harrison Hockin, Hardest Workers - Beau Bax and Chase Robinson.
Game 3 - 99ers vs. Kingston Canadians 5-2 Win - Goals by Stryker Sandy (3) and Graham Haines (2). Game MVP - Nolan White, Hardest Workers - Stryker Sandy and Hensley Hill.
Game 4 - 99ers vs. Oshawa Hawks 2-1 Win - Goals by Stryker Sandy and Camdon Eldridge. Game MVP - Isaiah Zylstra, Hardest Workers - Hunter Hockin and Greyson Dunski.
Game 5 - 99ers vs. North Durham Warriors 8-3 Loss - Semi Finals - Goals by Chase Robinson, Stryker Sandy, and Camdon Eldridge. Game MVP - Beau Bax, Hardest Workers - Graham Haines and Isaiah Zylstra.
The 99ers fought hard from the start to the finish of the tournament and never gave up. The coaches are all very proud of how the team played.
It was a great weekend of fun, team bonding and everyone learned a lot!

Next Up: The 99ers have a home game on Friday February 28th vs. The Mt. Hamilton Blues @6:30 PM and on Saturday March 1st, they travel to Woodstock to face the Jr. Navy Vets @5:30 PM.
