Weekend Warriors!
What a weekend for the U9 Select 99ers! Our team of weekend warriors had their busiest hockey weekend yet, juggling House League practices and games while hosting the Waterloo Wolves on Saturday and traveling to Woodstock to face the Jr Navy Vets on Sunday.
On Saturday, we welcomed the hometown crowd for our second home game of the season! The 99ers picked up right where they left off, moving the puck well and showcasing their talents. The coaches were very happy with the way the team played at home.
A special shoutout to our standout players: Nolan White, who delivered his best game of the year with impressive passes and relentless effort, and Stryker Sandy, whose puck control and skating were superb! Both players earned the "Hardest Workers" awards, great job guys!
Sunday brought a new challenge as we faced a well-rested Jr Navy Vets squad in Woodstock. Despite the odds, our 99ers fought hard for every puck, demonstrating flashes of great teamwork and solid defensive play. Our goalies were tested a lot throughout the game and played incredible, keeping both sides in the game. The coaches are very proud of how the boys played and how they finished off a long weekend of hockey.
Huge congrats to our "Hardest Workers" award winners for this match: Isaiah Zylstra, who netted two goals and made fantastic passes, and Chase Robinson, who showcased his versatility by excelling in both forward and defense. Way to go boys!

Our next game is at home against the Kitchener Jr Rangers on Friday, December 6th at 6:00 PM at the Wayne Gretzky Centre.
