Minor Atom AA/A Take the Championship title in Stratford
This past weekend the Brantford Minor Atom
AA/A team went into their first tournament of the season with pure excitement
for the game of hockey.
This is the first year that most of these kids have played together on the same team. In a short period of time the team has really come together. They played well and won against three of our Alliance league rivals. The team went 3-1 in the round robin play. With the best record in the round robin play they guaranteed their way into the championship game to play the Cambridge Hawks. Cambridge came out strong in the first period of the game, but our team shut them down and scored by the midway of the period and never looked back. They defeated Cambridge Hawks 5-1 for the championship. Looking forward to a great season ahead with these kids.
