Champions in our Nation's Capital
Our Tier 1 team made the long trip to Ottawa this past
weekend to play in the 4th Annual Capital Volunteer Cup tournament.
We played two games on Friday, winning 8-3 against MISSISSIPPI THUNDER KINGS then winning the afternoon game 4-0 against NEPEAN RAIDERS. Saturday was a great day for the team to explore our Nation’s Capital. The team enjoyed all the sites it had to offer. Starting the day with a team photo taken at Parliament Hill in front of the Canada 150 sign. We had a late game Saturday night against KANATA BLAZERS where we won 6-1 against a tough team. Sunday was an early morning semifinal game. We played at 8AM against Gloucester Blues winning this game 4-1. This landed us a rematch against the NEAPEAN RAIDERS in the finals. It was a tough game on our kids, but they came out on top beating the Raiders 2-0 to win the championship. It was great to see our kids that excited to win the title and win the tournaments scoring title. This made the long trip back to Brantford a little more enjoyable for the group.
