MD Try Outs
The tryout process will be a little different for us, as I am away in Europe for the first 3 dates.
I first wanted to introduce myself, my name is Robert Parker and I am the coach of the Major Atom MD 99ers. This is my second year coaching this age group and I am very excited to be back. I am a non-parent coach and continue to stay involved in youth hockey because I truly love it. I hope that this year we will have a well attended and competitive tryout.
Due to my absence, I wanted to make everyone aware of how I intend on conducting the tryout process.
I have a group of evaluators and coaches setup to run the ice and provide me with detailed feedback on each player, however, I will not be making any cuts (if they are required) until the 20th of September (5th skate). I will be in constant contact during the tryout process but want to see each player on the ice before any decisions are made. I apologies for the added stress, as I know this process is no fun for anyone.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Looking forward to a fun and positive season for all the kids.
