Desjardins Insurance 99ers Show Grit at ALLIANCE Championships
The Desjardins Insurance 99ers recently competed in the ALLIANCE Hockey House League Championships in London, finishing with one tie and two hard-fought losses. While the results didn’t land them on the podium, the journey to the championships told a much bigger story—one of perseverance, teamwork, and heart.

Midway through the season, the 99ers found themselves at the bottom of the standings. But the team refused to give up. They regrouped, refocused, and rallied during the second half of the season, stringing together determined performances that earned them a spot among the league’s best at the year-end event.

Off the ice, the players grew even closer as a group, bonding with some pool time and water slide fun throughout the weekend. That team spirit and camaraderie were clear every time they hit the ice.

A special thanks goes out to our backup goalie, Ryker, who stepped up when the team needed him most. His effort and composure between the pipes were a huge part of our ability to compete in London.

We also want to extend a heartfelt Thank you to all the parents and fans for their unwavering support throughout the season. Your dedication in the stands, at practices, and behind the scenes made this experience unforgettable for the players.

Though the final scores didn’t tell the whole story, the 99ers skated off the ice with pride, proving that hard work, resilience, and a strong team bond can overcome any challenge.
