The Minor Midget AAA 99er's are looking to create an impact on and off the Ice. This is a talented hard working group of players that are looking to challenge at the top of the Alliance standings and reach the OHL cup at the end of the year.
The team is being lead by the experience of coach Scott Rex. The boys are excited to
introduce their Edmonton Oilers third jersey which was endorsed by the
Gretzky family and approved by the Minor Hockey Board for the these boys
and future Minor Midget AAA Teams to wear. The management team wants younger players to be inspired to play for the
“Orangemen”. Working towards that goal and understanding how privileged they
are to play in Brantford and conduct themselves with the same class as Wayne Gretzky has shown and continues to show throughout his life.
We are privileged to represent the greatest player “The Great One” to ever play the game.
The Team will be holding a food drive for
the foodbank in October, going door to door to help the people in need.
Coach Rex knows that this is more then just hockey. We’re teaching life
skills and preparing these boys for their future where ever that might take
them.
The team opens their season this Friday Night at the Gretzky Centre on Rink#1,Against the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs.
We are looking to the community to come watch and support them. This team
has a great opportunity to produce the most OHL draft picks and College
players we have seen in Brantford for many years.
