ISO: U18AAA Athletic Therapist
The Brantford U18 AAA Hockey Team is currently seeking a certified Athletic Therapist for the 2026–2027 season.
We are looking for a dedicated professional to support our athletes and contribute to a high-performance, player-focused environment.
Position Overview
The Athletic Therapist will oversee injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation while working closely with the coaching staff to ensure athlete health and safety throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend all games (home and away)
- Provide on-site injury assessment and acute care management
- Develop and implement rehabilitation and return-to-play programs
- Taping, bracing, and preparation of athletes prior to games
- Communicate clearly with coaches, players, and families regarding injuries and recovery timelines
- Maintain accurate injury reports and documentation
- Coordinate referrals to physicians or healthcare providers when necessary
- Manage concussion protocol and return-to-play procedures
Qualifications:
- Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) or equivalent certification.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- Experience working in competitive hockey (preferred, not required)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Availability for full 2026–2027 season commitment (Sept-Mar)
Compensation & Expenses:
- Base salary provided
- All travel expenses covered
- Hotel accommodations covered for away tournaments/trips
- Meals covered while traveling with the team
- Mileage reimbursement as applicable
