Toronto Maple Leafs First Shift Returns for a Seventh Season at Brantford Minor Hockey - Registration is Now Open
Brantford Minor Hockey is very pleased to offer the Toronto Maple Leafs First Shift program for a seventh consecutive season. Registration is now open.

First Shift is open to boys and girls ages 6-10*, who have not previously registered for hockey. (* To be eligible to participate, children must be born between January 1, 2014 and May 1, 2019.)

First Shift is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families. We want to take away any intimidation as it relates to equipment requirements, and/or rules of the game, remove potential safety concerns, and most importantly, provide an experience that is memorable and fun. Players are divided into small groups and rotate to various skills stations, ensuring varying skill development with a positive ratio of instructors to skaters.

Participant registration fee is $299 and includes:
  - Bauer equipment (head-to-toe) that is yours to keep
  -
Welcome event with expert fit session and equipment distribution
  -
6 on-ice sessions (1 hour on a consistent day and time)
  -
Focus on fun and learn to play

BMHA has been awarded one group of 45 skaters for the Fall program. This has been a very popular initiative and spots will go quickly. Register early to avoid disappointment.

The Welcome Event / Equipment Fitting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. On-ice sessions could begin as early as Saturday, November 30, 2024, but this is not yet confirmed. On-ice sessions are typically held on Saturday’s, early to late-afternoon at Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre.
