ALLIANCE Hockey RETURN TO HOCKEY PLAN
Submitted By Rob Symons on Thursday, July 23, 2020
Stratford, ON - On July 13th the Government of Ontario introduced Stage 3 as outlined in A Framework for Reopening our Province, the latest version in its gradual, staged approach to reopening Ontario, and easing the necessary restrictions that were put in place to contain the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

ALLIANCE Hockey has also released its Return to Hockey Plan V1.0; an approach to re-introducing 'hockey' in accordance with the frameworks provided by the Ontario Government, Public Health Authorities, Hockey Canada and the OHF in the most safe and secure format for all of our members.

"We would love to just flip a switch and continue playing hockey, but like most things affected by the pandemic, that is just not a possibility.  Applying the necessary precautions and preparations to ensure the health and safety of all individuals associated with the game is our absolute priority. All stakeholders, including our Member Associations are and have been working steadfastly throughout the crisis with the same end goal of providing a safe environment for everyone who wants to participate," noted ALLIANCE Hockey President Ray Kosumovic.

With the latest Stage 3 announcement there are still continued questions associated with navigating the restrictions in place that affect our game directly.  ALLIANCE Hockey is working with the OHF and the Ministry to work through these unknowns.  Until clarification is provided, the ALLIANCE Hockey Return to Hockey Plan will continue to operate under the STAGE 2 GUIDELINES until further notice.
