Interested in Becoming a Referee?

The Grand River Officials Association will hold open skates for those wishing to be a new official in the 2018-19 hockey season.

Dates are:
August 19 – 11 am – Noon
August 25 - 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Each will be held on Rink 3 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre.

There is NO cost for this open skate. To pre-register, please contact Mark Beenackers ([email protected]) or Jason Osborne ([email protected]), walk-ons are also welcome.

Minimum age is 14 years old. All hopeful new officials MUST attend one of the two open skates to be considered, no exceptions.

Equipment required is your skates, CSA approved helmet and warm-up suit or track pants. Referee shirt and referee pants are NOT required.
