- Chris Gratton
Participated: 1980-1988
The Tampa Bay Lightning chose Chris Gratton, a prototypical power forward, third overall at the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. In 1993-94, Gratton's rookie season, he tallied 13 goals and 29 assists while playing all 84 games. Gratton, who can play center or wing, played every game in three of four seasons during his first tour of duty with the Lightning.
The Philadelphia Flyers signed Gratton in 1997, and he posted a 62-point season there in 1997-98, while appearing in all 82 games. The Lightning re-acquired Gratton from the Flyers for Mikael Renberg and Daymond Langkow in 1998 but then traded him to the Buffalo Sabres for three players in 2000. In 2001-02, Gratton registered 15 goals and 24 assists in 82 games.
