Borrowing the helmet and skates of the injured player, allowed two more to join the active group and with 11 skaters now going, Jonah Ferreira scored and Zak Culbert and Will Smith drew assists in the second to tie things up and sent the team to the break tied at 2.
The 99ers not only kept pace, but controlled play for most of the period before Sarnia snatched the victory with a short handed rush with 1:02 to go. The local boys deserved a better fate than a loss after the display of heart and effort put forth on this night.
