99ers Thumped by London Mustangs
After an outstanding game against the knights, the 99ers
came out flat against the Mustangs and came home on the short end of a 7-2
score.
The trend of giving up the first goal continued as the Mustangs scored at the 8 minute mark and despite pulling even 20 seconds later, the Mustangs pulled ahead 3-1 with 2 PP goals during a double-minor before the period ended. Two more quick goals in the middle of the second put the home team up 5-1 and while there was still 25 minutes to play, for all intents and purposes based on the flow of the play, put the game out of reach. The 99ers closed it to 5-2 7 mins into the 3rd, but Mustang goals at the 13 minute mark and again with 3 minutes to go to close out the scoring.
