Exhibition Game
It was refreshing being able to compete in a game against another centre.
The score did not accurately reflect the effort the team demonstrated this evening, the other coaches and I were thoroughly impressed by everyones effort tonight.
With more players trying out then spots available our job as the coaching staff is to make some tough decisions. Releasing players is not an easy task, especially when the players are competing as they have been. it is an unfortunate part of hockey and has the potential to negatively impact young players.
It is important they understand that although they were released from this years team this does not mean an end to hockey, it does not mean that they won't be able to play on a competitive team in the future, there are many seasons ahead with ample opportunity.
