BMHA Accepting Coach Applications for U10 AAA & A/AA and U11 AAA & A/AA - EXTENDED
Submitted By Rob Symons on Tuesday, April 28, 2020
BMHA is looking for coach applications for U10 (Minor Atom) AAA, U10 (Minor Atom) A/AA, U 11 (Major Atom) AAA and U11 (Major Atom) A/AA.

Deadline for applications is extended until Sunday, May 31.

Coach Selection Process:

An experienced committee will make the decisions regarding the coaching positions. The committee will employ a consensus-building mentality throughout the selection process.  Voting takes place as necessary.

Committee members are declared in conflict of interest where family members are involved at a certain level, and as such have no input to the decision.

Applicants are asked to complete the online form available via link in this news article. Additional emails to committee members are strongly discouraged.

The application has a number of detailed questions and you are encouraged to thoughtfully answer each item. Each question has character limits so please be brief and succinct in your responses.

Selecting coaches is a time-consuming endeavor with the committee spending as much time as necessary to find the most qualified and capable individual for a particular team.  The process generally involves the following:

1. The committee members will review each application and complete a due diligence process on behalf of the Board of Directors.  The goal of this process is to compile a list of viable candidates for in person or virtual interviews.

2. The final screened list may be called in for a longer online virtual meeting with the committee.

3. The committee will meet and come to a final consensus on the candidates based on all available information.

4. The committee will recommend a final slate of coaches to the Board of Directors who will then be asked to approve the list.

Not all applicants will be interviewed.  If the committee believes that there is a strong applicant for a given team, then that individual may be appointed without further interviews.

Note: All members of a coaching staff (head coach, assistant, trainer, and manager) must ultimately be approved by the BMHA Board of Directors.

Application deadline extended until Sunday, May 31.

Thank you in advance for your interest.
