International Silver Stick Champions
The Brantford 99ers Major Bantams came home from Port Huron Michigan as International Silver Stick Champions.  The team played amazing all weekend going undefeated in 6 games and recording 26 GF and only 5 GA.  Team defense was smothering and the goaltending tandem of Christian Laracy & Matthew Karakas was outstanding.

The team had round robin results against Ann Arbor Wolverines MI (W 5-0), Old Bridge Knights NJ (W 7-0), St Mary's Rock ON (T 1-1), Aurora Tigers ON (W 5-1) Quarter Final, Mt Clemons Wolves MI (W 4-1) Semi Final, and Centre Wellington Fusion ON (W 4-2) Championship Final.
Special mention to individual awards for the tournament as Matthew Karakas(G) and Ben Mason(F) were added to the tournament All star team and Ben Mason also received the Tournament MVP award as the tournaments most outstanding player.
The entire team had significant contributions both offensively and defensively.  We also played through adversity as some players battled through illness as well as injury.  During the Championship Final the boys message on the bench was "Do it for Twins" , one of our Assistant Captains injured earlier in game 3.
As mentioned the goaltending of both Christian and Matthew was fantastic.  Our defense group had a great tournament as well, including timely offensive plays and continued pressure on other teams top players defensively.  All three forward lines contributed offensively all tournament and proved that depth along with team chemistry is a stronger formula of success than individual efforts.  This group plays well together as a unit.  Unselfish play and commitment to systems yielded the results for the championship.
Thank you to all coaches and players for a great weekend.  A special thank you to our amazing parents who were loud and proud for all our games and the support has been incredible.
We are very proud to bring this Championship to BMHA.
