Game 17 Dofassco Steelhawks at Brantford 99ers
Well this games started out with non stop action. It was end to end action back and forth. The two teams looked pretty evenly matched and it was going to be an intense game. There were some big save by Sebastian W and our boys had their share of scoring opportunities but we just couldn't manage to sneak on in the net. With just under two minutes left in the first period Dofassco scored a goal and were now in the lead.
Within minutes of starting the second period we tied the score at one with a great goal from Matthew M standing his ground in front of the net and the assist going to Riley D. For the next few minutes is was more non stop action, some real physical hockey and more big saves for both goalies. With a rebound shot by Ethan H we took the lead two to one. Assists on the second goal going to Matthew M and William R.
Just seconds later the Steelhawks managed to tie the score up two all. The last minutes of second period were defonitely was a physical game with some rough play on both sides.
Third period was more action and great hockey but unfortunately more goals for the bad guys. Our boys continued to dig hard along the boards, cover the man and some great scoring opportunities but unfortunately we just couldn't get them past the goalie.
Great game boys keep of the good work and awesome work on a penalty free game although there was a lot of physical play on the ice tonight!!
Hard hat award going to Marcus S for always working hard to pinch in on the point but also some incredible skating to always get back and take the shots away!!
