Game 14 Brantford 99'ers at Chedoke Express
Well it was obvious our boys were ready to rock, mostly because some of them were using their sticks as guitars and rocking out to the music being played during warm ups but all in good fun.
Music or not, our boys were not affected by the Darth Vadar inspired new uniforms for Chedoke and started the game off with an impressive goal from Owen T assisted by Marcus S. I can't confirm this fact yet (I have some research to do) but I'm pretty sure the record shows that when we are the first team on the score board we tend to be victorious so I was hopefully my theory would hold true for this game!
Chedoke wasn't going to just stand by and just minutes after our goal, they managed to sneak one in and tie of the score.
Not sure about anyone else but I like the music being played during breaks and I think the boys did to because man they were on fire during the second period. Before the first minute of play, Marcus S unassisted put on deep in the net and less then a minute later got his second goal, this one assisted by William R. Our boys did a great job helping out the goalies with some great backchecking and some awesome positional play from the defense team.
We continued to move the puck around and stayed focused on the game and with about a minute left in the Nathan M scored our forth goal unassisted assisted.
Third period Nathan M was still on a role and scored again unassisted in less then 30 seconds of play. More great hockey, an unassisted goal from Ashton W and we had a nice lead of 5 goals mid way through the third period. Our boys kept digging and working together and although Chedoke manged to sneak one more in before the end of the period, our boys were excited and celebrated their hard earned win.
